Each custom branded bottle is fully recyclable at end of life and is made from 90% recycled stainless steel, BPA-free plastic, silicone rubber and a base made from ocean-bound plastic. Ocean Bottles' partners' sites in Brazil, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya and The Philippines are where the ocean-bound plastic is gathered. This is done by local communities who retrieve it from rivers, waterways and their environment in return for payment. The money they earn enables them to access social amenities like healthcare, tuition and financial aid. By buying these bottles, you are contributing to the betterment of their lives and the world at large in innumerable ways.

Ocean Bottle also offsets 4.88kg of carbon (per unit sold). Each Ocean Bottle is entirely carbon neutral to the point of dispatch.

When the bottle reaches the end of its life, 90% of it can be recycled with home recycling. The straw, silicone loop and gaskets inside the lid should be removed before recycling, and silicone recycling is possible by sending it to compatible recycling centres. The plastic base should be separated from the steel body before recycling.
